Your kit not working? Difficult to use?
Having trouble with the kit you purchased elsewhere?
Can't find the satellite, missing channels, un-reliable picture?
If it takes more than 2 minutes to find the satellite and be watching TV then you are doing something wrong or your equipment is difficult to use.
Sadly there are many poor quality kits on the market and people new to satellite are unaware of this until they try to use what they have bought. Some equipment is
downright unuseable, some equipment is actually illegal. Some have dishes that dont tilt up high enough to get the satellite, some have pirate smart cards. Unknowingly
they risk a $60,000 fine.
Come and see us the experts for an honest appraisal of your equipment.
We can show you how to get the best out of what you have. Bring it in and we will go through and thoroughly check everything, cables and connectors, LNB signal level,
satellite receiver (and re-tune if necessary), check the smart card etc. We can repair or replace any damaged or faulty components*.
Then we will watch you in action and see where things are going wrong and provide guidence where necessary. You also get to keep a copy of our comprehensive
satellite instruction book which features a lightly technical satellite overview, how the card activation system works and the forms required to do this, troubleshooting
guide, as well as the Australia Wide Dish Pointing Table.

Info from Optus - custodians of the Aurora Remote Area Broadcast System (RABS)
"In order for the activation to work you will need to have the smartcard in the decoder the correct way, the decoder turned on and be able to pick up the tuning channel
(normally located down on channel 1 of your decoder). This channel is called “Info 156”. If this is not the case then you may require a re-authorisation to be done on your
smartcard once these things have been done. Alternatively, instead of having to contact us again, you can actually just leave your decoder turned on for up to 16 hours
to get the channels unscrambled - providing you are indeed aligned, you can get the Info 156 tuning channel, and your signal strength and quality are both reading about
80% from this channel.
If you are not a resident of or travelling within WA, you can then apply to the two commercial channels of IMPARJA and SOUTHERN CROSS T.V. (7 Central) to have
their services added.
All licensing regarding which channels can be aired in each state is dictated by the Australian government, and though we (Optus) do not make these rules, we must
abide by them. For all questions relating to the licensing of channels within state boundaries, please contact ACMA (the Australian Communication and Media
Authority). Their number is 1300 850 115"
